Graduation, Baby Blessing, Family

Its about time to catch up on this blog!

WOOHOO!!! Ben graduated from BYU on August 11-12!! I am so proud of him! He's been a trooper going to school and working and trying to raise a little family.  He's had quite the load the past few years...but now there is one less thing on his plate. Ben's parents and one of his brothers (Matt) came down from WA for the graduation. It was too hard to juggle kids and take pictures, so thank you Dad Brewer for the pictures! :)

Graduation Day 1: Commencement

Alice did not like this ceremony at all so I spent most the time out in the hallways of the Marriot Center with her. Luckily the sound was piped to the halls and there were TV monitors so I could see what was going on. 

Graduation Day 2: Convocations

Alice liked this ceremony a little better...and so did I. It was a lot more intimate in the De Jong Concert Hall and the lights were low so Alice could sleep most of the time! I was so proud of Ben walking across that stage! 

So its official. We are both graduates of BYU! We both even graduated from the same "college"...The College of Fine Arts and Communications! Ben has been loving NOT having homework and getting to spend that time with his family.  

The Weekend of graduation, we also had Alice's baby blessing at church, on Aug. 14. It was nice to have family from both sides there to participate and witness the blessing. 

We had a little bbq lunch after church to celebrate. Check out my sister's awesome shark melon!

Adam and Kylie came down with their little 1 week old baby William. Alice is not much bigger than a newborn!

We spent the next few days spending time with both sets of parents. Ben went golfing a couple of times with his Dad and brothers. 

After our parents left, we decided it would be a good time to go up to WA to visit them again! More blog posts to come about our trip!
